The Blck Brd is relaxed, however there are some minor rules & a dress code:

Age 25+.

No sandals or flip-flops.

No beach-wear, team-sports jerseys or gym-wear.

Dress shorts & cargo shorts ARE acceptable. Denim is acceptable. Trainers are acceptable. T-shirts & polo shirts acceptable. Understated cross-dressing politely overlooked.

No mobile phone conversations. If urgent, keep your voice low & conversation short.

No cameras or photography. Respect the privacy of our clientele.

Do not arrive tortuously drunk. You will not be permitted entrance or served.

Event & Hire

The Blck Brd is available for private hire (mail@theblckbrd.com for details) but only if the whole venue is booked, and for the entire duration of the night. Large groups adversely affect the atmosphere for our regular patrons, so that’s the way we do things.

Our 2000 sq. ft. venue & terrace will comfortably host most medium-scale events; and catering can be arranged. Approximately 80 people would be considered comfortable.

The Blck Brd does not accept table reservations nor can we comfortably accommodate groups larger than six persons. Tables are allocated on a first come first serve basis although we are happy to note down & call your mobile once seating becomes available.
